Brains2B was founded in the beginning of 2002 with two goals:
- Writing technically advanced software
- A strong commitment to professional software development and the conviction that it could be done better
These goals are reflected in the services and products we deliver. One of the bigger projects we have done so far is creating StrongHold: An effective way of automatically converting an old Cognos Powerhouse application to a modern Java application.

Software Design
We can design software solutions for any ideas or voids you see in your business information needs. We can help model your idea into a technical viable solution people want to use. We can do this with a range of commercial agreements: risk sharing, time-material or the basis of a royalty agreement.
Software Development
Actually writing software is an important part of what we do. We are in large part indifferent in which language this should be done, although we have a preference for OO-languages and especially Java. We can write software under different contract and occasionally take on open source assignments.

Component development
Does your business software need a component which you would prefer not to create or maintain yourself. We can realize and maintain that component. If the component is general enough or has a broad application we could even agree upon a license agreement which reduces costs, or develop it for release as open source.

Brains2B is very committed to open source and has released parts of its own effort as open source: brains2b.org. For all open source products which you want to use within your own business we can help you with adaptation, integration with other applications and implementation within your own infrastructure.

Process Consultancy
If the productivity or predictability of your in-house software development leaves something left to desire, we can help. Next to process definitions like ITIL,DSDM, CMM we can help you by implementing more efficient ways of coding, testing and organising your software development.
